Job Description

We are seeking an experienced mechanical technician to assemble, setup and commission custom automation machinery based on engineering drawings. Competence Be orderly, organized, results-oriented, quickly responsive, and able to coordinate work. Must handle advanced technology tools (spreadsheets, worksheets, etc.). Be competent, based on appropriate education, training, or experience in overall performance. Able to read mechanical drawings, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics Able to effectively work with customers according to deadlines Able to work under pressure Good written and verbal communication skills with team members and customers Able to work in teams and independently to solve technical challenges Travel Approximately 10-25% annually (national and international) Willing to work overtime as needed Physical demands are representative of those an employee will encounter while performing the functions in a typical office and manufacturing environment. Qualifications/Experience Requirements Seven years of experience with custom equipment in the automation industry working with production equipment Electronics manufacturing preferred Knowledge of industrial PLCS, such as Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemens, and Beckhoff preferred Knowledge of industrial robots preferred Knowledge of machine vision applications preferred Functions & Scope Assemble industrial machines based on engineering drawings and customer specifications. Install pneumatic plumbing including actuators, valves and fittings, Attend Internal Design Reviews to add input into the design of the machine. Record changes to machined parts and assemblies on engineering drawings. Communicate with engineers, purchasers, external contractors, suppliers and customers as needed. Provide information for machine documentation, specifically maintenance. Support machine acceptance testing and run-off. Install and service machines at customer's site as required. Work within project assignment constraints including scope, budget, and timeline. Understand health, safety, and quality compliance standards for the country in which the work is performed. Perform troubleshooting and problem solving. Read and understand mechanical and pneumatic drawings. Communicate required mechanical and pneumatic changes made to the machines to colleagues during debug and installation phases. Provide status updates to the customer and internal IPTE stakeholders. Provide on-site customer training and support for equipment maintenance. What We Offer Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
