This position is primarily mechanical in nature, with some basic electrical work required, and includes occasional travel to support installations, testing, and internal or customer sites. The ideal candidate enjoys working on the shop floor, building and troubleshooting equipment, and contributing directly to successful system builds and trials. This role is primarily mechanical in nature (~80%), with a secondary electrical component (~20%) focused on wiring and support of control components. • Perform hands on mechanical assembly of sorting, vision, and robotic systems, including frames, conveyors, tooling, guarding, and associated equipment
• Build, install, align, and adjust mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, shafts, bearings, belts, and actuators
• Support system, test setups, trials, and validation activities in productions environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues identified during testing and operation
• Perform basic electrical tasks including wiring motors, sensors, actuators, and control components by following provided schematics
• Assist with integration of advanced vision systems and robotics from a mechanical and hardware perspective (mounting, fixturing, alignment, cable routing)
• Support installations, system testing, and trials, including occasional travel to internal or customer sites
• Work closely with engineers and project teams to provide feedback and support, while spending the majority of time on the shop floor
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and follow applicable safety and quality standards

Requirements:

• Graduate of a college level educational training in a mechanical field, or 6+ years of hands on experience in a mechanical field
• 3+ years of experience in a mechanical field.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands on build experience
• Comfortable performing basic electrical wiring and troubleshooting (not a pure electrical role)
• Ability to travel 10 to 15% of the year
• Preference for practical, shop floor work (this is not a design or office-based position)
• Must be able to perform the essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position, including the ability to lift 50 pounds

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour days.
• Core hours between 9 AM and 2 PM, with flexibility for start and end times.
