Year Position Summary:
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of equipment in alignment with operational requirements. This role plays a key part in reducing non-productive maintenance time and enhancing the efficiency and productivity of maintenance operations within the Maintenance Base (MB).
Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance on assigned equipment in accordance with the relevant maintenance program and the reliability-centered maintenance strategy, ensuring compliance through the use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and standard work procedures. Maintain transactional discipline within Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) systems by accurately recording materials, labor, equipment movements, work orders, parts usage, and maintenance durations. Ensure adherence to TLM Product Line standards and procedures. Actively participate in a culture of continuous improvement, contributing to initiatives aimed at enhancing asset utilization and reducing the cost of service delivery (CoSD). Support efforts to improve asset turnaround time by minimizing downtime related to maintenance, parts availability, repair authorizations, and work-in-process delays. Contribute to initiatives that enhance the efficiency and productivity of maintenance personnel. Implement CoSD-related projects, including the planned repair and reuse of components. Participate in failure investigations and root cause analyses as assigned. Comply with the TLM Competency Management System to ensure ongoing professional development and technical proficiency.
Requirements :
Technical diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Minimum 2 years of hands-on mechanical maintenance experience Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and work orders Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking tools
