Field Service Technician Pay:
$22.00-$23.00 an hour
Position Summary:
Staffworks Group is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Field Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair company equipment at customer locations. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while representing our company professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain knowledge of company products, features, capabilities, and distribution channels. Effectively communicate product benefits and solutions to customers. Perform on-site equipment installations, repairs, preventive maintenance, and service calls. Conduct product demonstrations and provide customer training when needed. Train and support in-house maintenance personnel on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, particularly with back-of-house contacts. Gather customer feedback and communicate findings to management. Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting expertise. Complete work orders, reports, and communications using company-issued iPads and software. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related field) preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and repair principles. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer applications. Comfortable using iPads, email, and digital work order systems. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and manuals. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and customer service skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Ability to carry tools and equipment weighing up to 20 lbs. regularly. Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. up four flights of stairs. Ability to push and pull equipment carts weighing up to 60 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and sit for extended periods as required.
Additional Requirements:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to operate a company-owned or leased vehicle if assigned. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Compensation:
Starting Pay:
$22.00/hour Up to $23.00/hour for highly qualified candidates with relevant technical experience. #swggreer
