Job Description

Location :
Vernal, UT Duration :
12 months with the possibility to be extended
Schedule:
Typically 6:00 AM-~5:00 PM, 10-12 hour days, including at least one weekend day (schedule may vary).
Average weekly hours:
50 - 60 Salary range : $24/hr. - $26/hr. Summary The Mechanical Technician is responsible for supporting equipment assembly, testing, and maintenance activities to ensure timely delivery of equipment in alignment with operational demands. This role plays a key part in improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within a maintenance and production environment. Job Description Perform production tree assembly, valve assembly, and functional testing of equipment Utilize torque tools and test pumps for assembly, calibration, and validation processes Assist with painting and finishing processes as needed Ensure all equipment is maintained and tested in accordance with established maintenance standards and safety protocols Follow Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) procedures and standard work practices Accurately document maintenance and testing activities, including parts used, labor time, and equipment history Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, improving efficiency, and increasing asset utilization Participate in equipment failure investigations when assigned Adhere to established operational, safety, and competency management systems
Shift:
Typically 6:00 AM-5:00 PM, 10-12 hour days, including at least one weekend day (schedule may vary) Skills Required Minimum of approximately 2 years of relevant experience 5+ years preferred Hands-on mechanical experience in an industrial or field environment Experience with: Production tree assembly, Valve assembly, Equipment and valve testing Proficiency using: Torque tools, Test pumps Oil & gas industry experience strongly preferred Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, etc.) Strong communication and teamwork abilities Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong attention to safety and quality standards
Education Required:
High school diploma or GED Additional requirements Full PPE provided (coveralls, hard hat, safety glasses, safety boots) Respirator certification required for painting-related tasks if applicable HirePower Personnel offers a wide variety of competitive compensation and benefits programs.
