Job description We are seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Technician | Materials Testing Technician to join our team in Mount Vernon, Ohio. In this role, you will perform a variety of materials testing and analysis activities to support engineering projects and ensure compliance with industry standards. Conduct laboratory tests on construction materials such as soils, concrete, asphalt, and aggregates using standardized procedures and equipment. Collect, document, and analyze test data, preparing clear and accurate reports for project teams. Assist in developing testing protocols and procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency. Ensure all testing activities comply with safety regulations and quality standards. Maintain and calibrate testing equipment regularly to ensure reliable results. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to interpret test results and support decision-making processes. Qualifications include strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Proficiency with testing instruments and data management software is preferred. A commitment to safety and quality is essential.
