Senior Coordinated Drives Engineer or Design Leader

Genesis Technical is seeking a senior level Coordinated Drives Engineer or Design Leader. This Senior Level Coordinated VF drives Engineer of Designer will have 15-20 years of experience leading VFAC/DC drive replacements and new installations in the Pulp & Paper industry. Duties include specifying and performing bid evaluations for coordinated drive systems Working with machine manufacturers and drive suppliers to confirm calculations. Analyzing existing drive and motor systems for reuse of equipment and economical solutions; Determine power distribution modifications required and drive control system integration into existing mill control systems Review and comment on drive and motor vendor drawings and direction of design team producing the drive installation drawings for the project. Candidate should be able to attend drive FAT tests and provide start-up/installation support and interface with other drive experts for the client and drive vendors. This position can work out of Birmingham, AL or Greenville, SC.
