Job Description:
Position Summary We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I to support production operations by applying engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain process documentation. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to develop hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Manufacturing Engineer I will work closely with production teams, technicians, and leadership to support manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support daily production troubleshooting and root cause investigations to resolve manufacturing issues. Assist with documenting manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Collect and analyze production data to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing and quality improvement projects. Collaborate with operators, technicians, and cross-functional teams to address routine production challenges. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures. Support equipment validation, testing, and process verification activities. Assist in implementing engineering changes and process updates within the manufacturing environment. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field required. 0-2 years of manufacturing or engineering experience preferred. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering fundamentals. Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to work effectively under direct supervision while developing technical skills and industry knowledge. Technical Skills Understanding of manufacturing process fundamentals Root cause analysis and problem-solving skills Blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation Process documentation and work instruction development Basic data analysis and reporting capabilities Knowledge of quality and safety compliance practices Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong written and verbal communication skills
