Job Description:
No C2C Job on Site / Hybrid located - Troy Alabama Key Responsibilities Lead and support capital engineering projects from concept through execution and closeout Coordinate installation, commissioning, and validation of manufacturing and packaging equipment Partner with operations and maintenance teams to improve production efficiency, uptime, and throughput Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and technical specifications Manage contractors, vendors, and third-party integrators Ensure compliance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA, USDA where applicable) Troubleshoot process and equipment issues within production environments Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, OEE optimization) Maintain accurate documentation including P&IDs, SOPs, and engineering drawings Assist in plant layout, line optimization, and capacity planning Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field 15 year of professional experience 3-7+ years of experience in food manufacturing, food processing, or packaging environments Experience working in regulated environments with strong understanding of food safety standards Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, automation, and production lines Strong project management and organizational skills Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with high-speed packaging lines, conveyors, fillers, labelers, or palletizing systems Exposure to sanitary design principles and hygienic equipment standards Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced production environment Typical Tools & Systems Project Management & Planning Microsoft Project Smartsheet Primavera P6 Design & Engineering AutoCAD SolidWorks Autodesk Inventor Manufacturing & Automation Rockwell Automation Studio 5000 Siemens TIA Portal Wonderware / Ignition SCADA
