What You Will Do As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in industrializing and improving metal manufacturing and assembly processes across our TSM production environments. You will support both new product launches and ongoing production by helping create processes that are safe, efficient, repeatable, and aligned with automotive and transportation manufacturing expectations.
You will:
Bring new products to life on the production floor You will help design and industrialize manufacturing and assembly processes from concept through start of production. This includes developing process flow diagrams, line layouts, production sequences, tooling concepts, fixtures, welding equipment, assembly aids, work instructions, and operating procedures. Support metal fabrication and welded assembly operations You will provide day-to-day engineering support for processes such as cutting, forming, welding, finishing, and assembly. When challenges arise with weld quality, dimensional variation, fit-up, material performance, or fixture repeatability, you will help diagnose the root cause and drive sustainable solutions. Improve production flow and assembly integration You will support the development and optimization of assembly processes, including mechanical fastening, sub-assembly integration, product build sequencing, line balancing, takt time achievement, pilot builds, run-at-rate validation, and production handoff. Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction You will lead and support improvement initiatives focused on labor utilization, cycle time, ergonomics, material flow, scrap reduction, throughput, and VAVE opportunities. Your work will help improve efficiency while strengthening quality and repeatability. Support quality systems and launch readiness You will partner with Quality and Operations to support PFMEAs, control plans, process validation, process capability, defect prevention, audit readiness, and disciplined change management. This role operates within expectations aligned with
ISO 9001, IATF
16949, and VDA 6.3 principles. You will help design and industrialize manufacturing and assembly processes from concept through start of production. 16949, and VDA 6.3 principles. What You Bring We are looking for someone who brings strong technical capability, practical manufacturing judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or a similar role. Experience supporting metal manufacturing, welded assemblies, structural components, mechanical assembly, or product integration. Strong understanding of process design, tooling, fixtures, welding equipment, production layouts, and equipment commissioning. Experience helping transition products from design into scalable production. Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, VAVE, root cause analysis, and process optimization. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and
IATF 16949
; VDA 6.3 experience is a plus. Understanding of PFMEA, control plans, process capability, and statistical methods. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Willingness to travel up to 20% to support equipment installation, launches, and cross-site collaboration.
