  • Engineering Technician 2 to support our Mechanical & Energetics department's Additive Lab.
As part of the Additive Lab, you'll be using Fused Deposition Modeling to manufacture components out of polymer materials for all programs. This is a full-time contract position on-site in Chandler, AZ Responsibilities Operate and maintain additive manufacturing equipment , including 3D printers and post-processing tools , to ensure optimal performance and quality output. Read and understand engineering drawings, schematics and specifications. Validate, troubleshoot, and prepare CAD models and build files for additive manufacturing processes using appropriate software. Develop, document, and refine standard operating procedures for lab processes and equipment . Collaborate with engineering, design, and project teams to support prototyping, research, and production initiatives. Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment , maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Assist in data collection, analysis, and report generation for material performance and process improvements. Basic Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to understand technical instructions Experience working in a production, operational or test environment . Good written and oral communication skills. Good computer literacy skills in MS office and 3D modeling/CAD . Ability to support rotating shifts, holidays, weekends and overtime when required. Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Able to work in manufacturing environment, including accessing stairs, and work platforms. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree/some college in a STEM field and 4 years additional related experience. Experience in Additive Manufacturing (3D printing). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS, Word, Excel, Outlook). Proficiency with Computer Aided Design. This position is intended to be contracted to hire. #IND1
