This role focuses on deep‑dive investigations of both field‑returned (RMA) units and in‑house failures, identifying failure modes, implementing corrective actions, and updating process documentation. The Quality Engineer will work closely with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to ensure strong product performance and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities 1. Failure Analysis & Technical Investigation Perform autopsies on field‑returned units to determine root cause(s) of failure Investigate internal failures from testing or end‑of‑line checks Lead containment strategies, countermeasures, and corrective action initiatives Support the design and implementation of fixtures, instrumentation, and test methods 2. Process Optimization & Cross‑Functional Collaboration Create and update SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation Partner with engineering, production, and supply chain to resolve quality issues Communicate findings, corrective actions, and improvement initiatives across departments 3. Data Analytics & Reporting Analyze quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities Track and report the effectiveness of corrective actions Use Excel and visualization tools to present quality performance to leadership Desired Qualities Proactive, hands‑on problem solver Strong analytical and trend‑interpretation skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Experience in mechanical or automotive manufacturing environments Education & Experience Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Process Engineering or related Understanding of mechanical systems (gear trains, hydraulics, rotating machinery, etc.) Proficiency in Excel for calculations, data manipulation, and visualizations Experience creating SOPs and managing quality documentation Positive, team‑first attitude with willingness to learn and take on new challenges
