Job Requirements Tucson, AZ Secret Polygraph Unspecified Career Level not specified Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description What Success Looks Like in This Role Success in this role means becoming the technical and execution leader ensuring mission-critical test systems are delivered on schedule, meet stringent aerospace/defense requirements, and perform reliably in production and qualification environments. Within your first 6-12 months, you will: Provide accurate, actionable program status to IPTLs/Program Managers, enabling data-driven decisions aligned with cost, schedule, and technical performance (EVMS). Lead engineering teams through complex system integration and test challenges, ensuring solutions meet rigorous defense standards. Drive configuration control and technical rigor, confidently leading change approvals (CCBs) and supporting root cause and corrective action efforts through FRBs. Establish yourself as a go-to technical authority for test systems integration, troubleshooting, and production support. Improve system reliability and readiness by proactively resolving issues and strengthening engineering processes. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day engineering execution for test systems supporting production, manufacturing, and qualification programs Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, quality) to ensure mission readiness and delivery performance Oversee and influence technical decision-making across hardware and test software systems Manage system changes through formal control processes (CCB/FRB) in compliance with defense program standards Support system integration, deployment, and troubleshooting in high-reliability environments Track performance using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in STEM discipline 2+ years of experience in: Test systems engineering Hardware/software integration, verification, and validation Production, manufacturing, or product qualification environments Experience with design, development, or integration of test equipment Active Secret Clearance Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting defense or aerospace programs Familiarity with both Windows and Linux operating environments Hands-on knowledge of: Test equipment, rack systems, and cable assemblies Electronic measurement tools (oscilloscopes, analyzers, DAQ systems) Strong troubleshooting skills for complex electro-mechanical or test systems Experience working in Agile and/or EVMS-driven programs, including gated reviews Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams An
