Manufacturing Engineering Trainee - Baldwin Park, CA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Provide support to the manufacturing departments assigned in developing, qualifying and implementing manufacturing process. Utilize engineering' principles to understand and increase manufacturing efficiency. Work on various manufacturing projects to improve cost, ensure product quality, reduce lead time while creating documentation controls. Participate in time studies to collect data for cost improvement projects. Create detail drawings for parts, tooling, and fixturing. Will occasionally operate CNC machines to support manufacturing. The preceding functions have been provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to this job function. EDUCATION

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.

EXPERIENCE

Experience in a variety of manufacturing processes (preferred) Experience with milling, turning, and/or grinding aerospace materials (preferred) Experience in working with aluminum, Inconel, titanium, stainless steel and aerospace superalloys (preferred)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong proficiency with SolidWorks modeling of parts, assemblies, and drawings Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent listening and comprehension skills Excellent planning, organizing, and coordinating skills This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be a U.S. Person which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders], U.S. National, Refugee, or Asylee. The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs .

Salary Range:

$75,000 annually. Relocation assistance not available and we are only considering local candidates.
