Job Summary:
- The Manufacturing Engineer II performs independent assignments to develop and recommend improvements in the Manufacturing system and in product manufacturability and cost effectiveness.
Essential Functions:
- + Study, analyze and design methods, procedures, processes, layouts, flow, fixtures and toolingas needed to support production + Investigate, recommend, and implement manufacturing cost reduction and product improvement programs + Identify root cause and corrective actions for manufacturing problems + Participate in customer specification and statement of work reviews + Participate in the review and evaluation of new product designs or design changes + Review and analyze design change requestsinitiated by manufacturing personnel to determine feasibility, validity, savings, effect on design, andtoverify justification for change + Evaluate, test and select facilities, equipment and materials required for productionin conjunction with Production Supervisors, Purchasing and other groups + Perform a variety of cost analyses, e.
- Minimum Qualifications

Experience:
2+ years ofexperience asaManufacturing Engineer +Knowledge:
Practical applicationknowledgeof the theories of modern production principles and methods as applied to a high technology electronics design and manufacturing operation;Basic knowledge of material characteristics and processing, chemicals; Basic concepts ofelectrical systems, mechanical systems, fluids, and heat transfer +Skills/Abilities:
Able to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization +Education/Certification:
BA or BSdegree inMechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related fieldEligibility Requirement:
- This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

- :•+ Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment •Working Conditions•:•+ Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment + Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limitedtoeye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE + May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes + Must be availableto work overtime, as needed + Flexible work schedule to support production
