Manufacturing Process Engineer 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars Burbank, CA 91504 $41.11 - $52.89 an hour - Full-time Accelera 6 reviews $41.11 - $52.89 an hour - Full-time About the Role As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering designs and efficient production execution. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing workflows, driving cost-reduction initiatives, and ensuring high-quality output for critical aerospace components. Responsibilities Translate engineering specifications and technical drawings into actionable production plans and Visual Work Instructions (VWI). Design and implement efficient tooling and cellular manufacturing layouts to maximize throughput and minimize waste. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to resolve non-conformance issues and improve process reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support New Product Introduction (NPI) cycles and validate process manufacturability. Analyze production data to establish time standards and develop Work Combination Sheets (WCS) for standardized operations. Act as a technical liaison to provide engineering support for internal production teams and external supplier processes. Drive continuous improvement projects by identifying and executing cost-reduction opportunities across the manufacturing floor. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years. Proficiency in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and technical documentation. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geometric tolerances and statistical data. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences. Must meet
ITAR/EAR
compliance requirements for access to restricted technical data. Preferred Skills Experience in high-paced aerospace manufacturing environments. Technical knowledge of metal fabrication processes including forming, welding, machining, and heat treating. Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems and material planning logic. Understanding of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and aerospace-grade materials.
