Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it. Description You will design and oversee critical CNC processes and equipment used to produce our products. In this highly visible role, you'll collaborate closely with Product Design, Industrial Design, Manufacturing Design, and global suppliers. Your responsibilities include ensuring optimal design for CNC manufacturing such as milling, turning, and multi-axis machining. You'll utilize data, hands-on development, and testing to guide decisions regarding equipment selection, tooling, cutting strategies, CAM software, and more. At Apple's scale, your contributions will have substantial global impacts. Minimum Qualifications Proficiency with
CAD / CAM
Ability to design machining manufacturing processes from concept to implementation Ability to provide manufacturability feedback to designers Hands-on CNC machining experience Experience with machining, cutting-tool selection and fixture design BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~20% Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing experience with high-cosmetic parts Siemens
NX CAD/CAM CNC
Process Qualification Experience in statistical analysis and process control Experience with CNC controllers Turning and/or 5-axis milling Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $157,200 and $236,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
