This is a hands-on, collaborative role where your technical expertise will directly influence efficiency, quality, and innovation on the factory floor. What You'll Do As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes across production operations. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to translate engineering intent into efficient, repeatable, and high-quality manufacturing solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assembly, fabrication, equipment installation, and material handling Drive adoption of new technologies and manufacturing methods, including automation, robotics, and computer-aided manufacturing software Create, analyze, and leverage 3D model-based environments to optimize manufacturing processes and digital work instructions Define operational sequences and build plans using a strong understanding of materials, tooling, and automated processes Evaluate equipment and tooling performance (including IoT-enabled systems) and lead corrective actions to resolve deficiencies Use factory data and statistical process control methods to enable continuous improvement Integrate data analytics and reporting solutions to support operational excellence Partner with product design teams to influence design concepts and specifications for manufacturability and efficient production What You Bring Required Skills & Experience Proficiency withCATIA V5
Experience in a manufacturing environment developing or testing new processes and procedures Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: Measurement or calibrated equipment (thermographic analyzers, RF testing, particle size distribution analyzers) Fuel lines and pumping systems Hydraulic systems Ovens and autoclaves Composite fabrication Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Industrial Engineering, Planning, Scheduling, Quality Assurance, and Production Familiarity with manufacturing processes including fabrication, assembly, machining, and specialty equipment such as CNC mills, pumps, Gerber cutters, or automated systems Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement initiatives Working knowledge of MRP systems, SAP, or other Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Security Clearance Requirement Active Secret Clearance required Education High School Diploma or GED (accredited) Work Schedule 4/10 schedule (four 10-hour days) Why Chipton‑Ross?
