Manufacturing Engineer

We have an Excellent Contract position for aManufacturing Engineerto join a leading Company located inPalmdale, CA.

Pay Rate:

$20.00 - $100.00 Hourly •US Citizenship is required.•Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance.•

Job Responsibilities:

+ Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures for assemblies and equipment installation. + Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. + Creates and analyzes 3D-based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. + Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. + Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. + Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. + Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques .

Basic Hiring Criteria:

+ 3 years of recent Catia V5 experience. + 3 years of recent Teamcenter experience. + 5 years of air vehicle systems experience required (hydraulics, fuel, electrical, propulsion, avionics, flight test, ground test, environmental control systems, etc.). + Aviation Experience Required. + Experience in a manufacturing environment working cross-functionally with other disciplines including industrial engineering, planning, scheduling, Quality Assurance &/or production planning. + Experience with some combination of the following: experience with manufacturing processes and procedures including: assembly, machining, and electrical in several disciplines including metallics, machining, electrical harness fabrication and routing, systems installations, &/or final assembly operations. + Previous experience developing visual work instructions for use in a manufacturing environment. + Experience with Teamcenter and CATIA.
