Description:

As a Staff Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes and procedures to drive operational excellence. You will leverage your expertise in materials, tooling, and process flow to define build sequences and ensure product quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and refine manufacturing processes and build sequences based on a strong understanding of materials and fabrication techniques. Evaluate equipment and tool performance to verify efficiency, reliability, and alignment with production requirements. Identify and resolve issues related to tooling, process capability, and production inefficiencies through root cause analysis and corrective action implementation. Collaborate with design engineering teams to provide feedback on design concepts and specifications, ensuring manufacturability and optimal use of available equipment and methods. Operate within a Model-Based Engineering environment using platforms such as 3DX (3DEXPERIENCE) and iBASEt Solumina to develop digital work instructions and manage process documentation. Support cross-functional initiatives to improve cycle time, cost, quality, and safety across manufacturing operations. Provide periodic off-shift support as needed to sustain production and ensure continuity of operations. Travel periodically to other sites or vendors for technical support and integration activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical background and a high degree of confidence in addressing complex, unfamiliar challenges, especially in hands-on hardware environments. Engineering Bachelor's Degree Hardware fabrication, assembly and/or integration / installation support Manufacturing‑assembly work‑instruction authoring Hands‑on production‑floor support Ability to obtain Secret clearance within 8 months of submission and gain special‑program access within 3 months of submission

Desired Skills:

10+ years of experience with development / prototype / first‑article aircraft program support Hypersonic or high‑temperature thermal‑protection systems and hardware CNC‑machining working knowledge 3DX / CATIA V5 software usage Direct ownership and support of specific manufacturing operations, as well as interfacing with production employees Review of engineering technical drawings and models / designs with respect to Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) considerations

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
