Type:
full-time
Job Description:
Manufacturing Engineer/Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Client is committed to developing empathy-driven, best-in-class technologies for treating preventable conditions in the newborn care market. A career at client means being part of a flat organization where you are empowered to bring your authentic self to work. As a result, you can directly impact and help improve the lives of neonates with preventable medical conditions. You will learn and collaborate with inspirational leaders and colleagues who are equally passionate and committed to fostering an inclusive, growth-centered, and rewarding culture. They are seeking a full-time Staff Manufacturing Engineer to own ongoing production and sustaining engineering for the fundus imaging product line. In this role, you will be a senior individual contributor who works independently with general supervision on moderately complex assignments. You will troubleshoot production-line issues across mechanical, electrical, and opto-mechanical subsystems; lead Engineering Change Orders; coordinate technical work delivered by software and electrical engineering; and own design transfers. This is a hands-on role for an engineer trained in mechanical engineering who is also comfortable troubleshooting at the electrical level (oscilloscope, multimeter, schematic-level reading) and capable of operating the optical test bench. You will not own EE or SW design - those are delivered by other teams - but you will be the engineering owner who identifies issues, scopes the work, and drives changes through the QMS.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Manufacturing Engineering (Required) from an accredited university or college. Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
2+ years' experience in medical device manufacturing or sustaining engineering (Required). 4+ years' experience in medical device sustaining or design transfer (Preferred).
