68 per hour Sunnyvale, CA Onsite Job Description Description As a Manufacturing Engineer, you work on project tasks related to manufacturing process development of medium complexity and scope under some guidance from manager or senior team members. You are developing collaboration awareness in a team setting to progress role task completion and starting to create working relationships with outside teams and contribute to cross-project collaborations. At this level, you possess an adequate understanding of manufacturing concepts and processes with an awareness of when to seek additional support and guidance and are starting to gain exposure to several manufacturing areas.
Responsibilities include:
  • Support process design, optimization, and qualification activities of a Mfg process for a component, part or product of low complexity (e.
g., DOEs ‚ÂTMs, manufacturing yield and throughput issues). Provide support in ensuring all fixtures/tooling/Software/product data/Drawings BOM, SOPs‚ÂTMs are identified, built, and available in a timely manner and within budget. Support implementation of incremental equipment and/or process improvements in current operations to enhance efficiency. Support defined initiatives enabling delivering capacity, maintaining supply continuity, supporting product refreshes, and improving quality and reliability, with some guidance.
  • Engage in RCCA process.
Propose basic solutions for low complexity technical challenges. Demonstrate basic level understanding of the fundamentals of RCCA methodologies. Define low complexity DOE approaches relating to RCCA for parts, components, modules, products, specifications, or processes. Develop software systems and pipelines along with specifications and documentation. Follow practices that ensure quality code and software releases. Execute basic data collection activities for low complexity technical issues (e.g., cause charting, root cause identification, RCCA, 8D).
  • Support implementation of basic process controls, (e.
g., Six Sigma techniques, process monitors, DOEs). Provide basic Process data collection, development and qualification support for specific parts, software, components, and/or products. Start to analyze and understand failure analysis data to resolve issues. Analyze and present data to the team and manager for decision-making. Maintain inventories of all machine tools, supplies, and raw materials needed for making new tools and for maintaining shop equipment with some guidance.
  • Support Dfx activities for specific parts, components and/or products, and start to provide input for one manufacturing program setting.
Provide basic technical influence to designs that would benefit manufacturability. Investigate new technologies or suppliers which helps in reducing cost and improving production quality, reliability, and availability. Collaborate on DfX trade-offs. Support best practices that ensure DfX goals are met. Participate in technical reviews. Minimum role qualification requires proficiency in:
