Project Engineer Location:
Sunnyvale, CA Lean Practices, Six Sigma, Project Coordination, Artificial Intelligence Systems Knowledge, Mechanical Engineering, Cross Functional Team work, GD&T, PMP Essential Responsibilities- Communicate and hold suppliers accountable for loss time activities.
- Identify and execute Lean and Six Sigma projects for assigned areas.
- Ability to update Layouts per CAD, CREO, Pro-E files where applicable.
- Coordinate, prepare, and help execute equipment qualifications per the Matrix output.
- Coordinate targeted operational deficiency data gathering per field follow schedule.
- Identify Tooling updates where applicable to Industry best practices and technology.
- Develop Tooling for Jigs and Fixtures where applicable to Industry best practices and technology.
- Support and implement new purchased equipment and maintain budget constraints,
- Provides daily and weekly operational updates and initiatives.
- Support and help implement process improvements.
- Support on Kaizen and other initiatives and target Shop-floor practice updates.
- Review and capture In-Process Validation Steps being utilized and identify cycle time's associated.
- Provide process improvements concepts to the In-Process Validation Steps with current technologies.
- Work and coordinate with cross functional team members.
- Use AI tools to support workflow in industrial applications.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering, quality, or Production and Manufacturing Operations in an Automotive or related industry.
- Ability to support the development and execution of continues improvement initiatives.
- Has knowledge of Quality Control, manufacturing processes, and production systems.
- Is a self starter and can execute assigned projects with minimal supervision.
