They're expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Full job description About the Role We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design Engineer to join our team in developing cutting-edge surgical devices. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to commercialization and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in translating user needs into high-quality, reliable products while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class medical solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop and refine innovative product designs from concept through production Create rapid prototypes using 3D printing, machining, and other techniques Generate and contribute to intellectual property, including invention disclosures Lead technical design efforts and mentor junior engineers Perform engineering analysis such as FEA, fatigue analysis, FMEA, and DOE Develop and maintain engineering drawings aligned with global standards Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development and improvements Support quality and regulatory processes in compliance with FDA (21 CFR Part 820) and
ISO 13485
Participate in root cause analysis, non-conformance investigations, and corrective actions Conduct testing to evaluate product performance and replicate customer issues Design for manufacturability, sterilization, automation, and biocompatibility Analyze field data and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement Provide technical support to customers and internal stakeholders as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Materials Engineering (or related field) 4+ years of experience in medical device product development Strong expertise in SolidWorks and CAD-based mechanical design Experience with rapid prototyping and hands-on testing Strong analytical skills with experience in engineering fundamentals and problem-solving Ability to think at a systems level and manage competing requirements Experience across the full product development lifecycle Knowledge of design controls, risk management, and traceability Experience in plastic and/or metal component design Strong communication and technical documentation skills Preferred Skills Experience with reusable surgical instruments or metal components Familiarity with PDM systems and specification documentation Background in statistics and design of experiments (DOE) Work Environment & Physical Requirements Primarily office-based with occasional warehouse interaction Regular use of computers, communication tools, and engineering equipment May involve light physical activity such as walking or lifting as needed Travel Up to 10 to 20 percent travel for customer interactions and project needs Why Join Us Opportunity to work on impactful, life-saving medical technologies Collaborative and innovation-driven environment Exposure to end-to-end product development Strong career growth and leadership opportunities  Looking for meaningful work?
