Job Description

Draco Electronics, LLC, a rapidly growing and dynamic cable assembly manufacturer, is currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Hardware Manufacturing & Integration Engineer . This role will be an integral part of our dedicated team at our Golden, CO facility. We are headquartered in Fremont, CA, and specialize in providing innovative cable solutions to a wide range of technology-driven companies throughout the United States. This highly hands-on role sits at the intersection of electrical design, manufacturing, prototyping, testing, and production operations . You'll own projects from concept through production, collaborating across electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to deliver robust, production-ready hardware systems. If you enjoy solving complex hardware problems, improving manufacturing processes, and working closely with both engineering and production teams, this role offers significant ownership and impact. This is a full-time, on-site position in Golden, CO. What You'll Do!!! Electrical Design & Integration Design electrical wiring harnesses, cable assemblies, and routing layouts using CAD tools Interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams to define connectivity and harness architecture Select and validate wire gauges, insulation materials, shielding, connectors, terminals, and protective coverings Ensure designs meet environmental, electrical, mechanical, EMI/EMC, and reliability requirements Partner with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure proper fit, function, and system integration Manufacturing & Process Development Set up and operate wire processing equipment, including cutting, stripping, and crimping machines Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for both prototype and production builds Troubleshot manufacturing tools, equipment, and assembly issues Recommend and implement new tooling, fixtures, and production equipment to improve efficiency and quality Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production workflows Documentation & Production Readiness Create and maintain harness drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, wire lists, and manufacturing documentation Develop clear work instructions and assembly procedures for production teams Ensure documentation aligns with company standards and applicable industry requirements, including IPC/WHMA-A-620, AS50881, and
ISO 9001
Testing, Validation & Quality Support prototype builds, bring-up, troubleshooting, and validation testing Analyze and resolve design and production issues during development and manufacturing Create and review test reports, FAIRs, inspection records, and validation documentation Verify assemblies meet customer requirements and quality standards Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and quality teams Support supplier sourcing and component selection activities Help bridge the gap between engineering design and scalable manufacturing What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience in cable assembly, wire harness design, or electronic manufacturing Strong understanding of harness manufacturing processes, materials, tooling, and assembly standards Experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and related industry standards Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks Hands-on experience with production tools, including DVMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, crimpers, soldering, microscopes, and wire processing equipment Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment Excellent communication and cross-functional teamwork skills Bonus Points Experience in cable assemblies for aerospace, robotics, automotive, defense, EV, or other high-reliability industries Familiarity with EMI/EMC considerations and signal integrity Experience supporting technical sales, customer support, supplier management, or quality control initiatives Experience scaling products from prototype through production Additional Requirements Candidates must possess current authorization to work for any employer within the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Benefits The base salary for this position is estimated to range from $95,000 to $135,000 . The final starting salary is determined by evaluating several key factors, including the candidate's relevant skills, professional experience, and the role's geographic location. This ensures a fair and competitive compensation package that is aligned with both the candidate's qualifications and current local market conditions.
