Design Engineer SRAM Corporation - 3.7 Colorado Springs, CO Job Details From $75,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications CAD design (engineering design task) Full Job Description Overview SRAM is seeking a Design Engineer to join our Product Development team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In this role, you will contribute to the mechanical design of new cycling components, with a focus on drop bar hydraulic brakes and drivetrain controls. Our Colorado Springs office sits steps from world-class trails, sees over 300 sunny days per year, and is equipped with engineering workbenches, in-house prototyping capabilities, and an on-site test lab. You will join a highly collaborative team of engineers committed to best practices, continuous improvement, and building world-class cycling products. Responsibilities Design and develop high-quality mechanical products for drop bar hydraulic brakes and drivetrain controls (electronic and mechanical shifters) Apply SRAM engineering best practices and standard procedures to creative problem solving Document design specifications using standard documentation practices Collaborate regularly with engineers and cross-functional project teams Facilitate problem resolution within design teams and with suppliers Mitigate design risks through proactive design analysis and risk management methodologies Provide input on and design for manufacturing processes Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent degree Minimum 3 years of experience in product design or a related engineering field Proficiency in engineering tools including statistics, GD&T, FEA, FMEA, and tolerance analysis CAD experience required; Creo Parametric preferred Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes, including forging, CNC machining/turning, and stamping Strong structured problem-solving skills (root cause analysis, failure investigations, PDCA, A3 thinking) Effective communicator across a broad audience and across cultures Ability to travel internationally, primarily to Asia, up to four times per year for one to two weeks at a time Passion for continuous learning, self-improvement, and contributing to team growth
