JOB BRIEF
We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to play a pivotal role in advancing our manufacturing capabilities. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest quality standards in our manufacturing operations. This induvial should drive initiatives for continuous improvement, implementing lean manufacturing principles and methodologies to enhance overall production performance. Nitinol or Titanium Experience preferred but not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The manufacturing engineer will be driving lean manufacturing initiatives throughout the manufacturing floor to ensure efficient production and production goals are met.
  • Work with engineers to make design changes needed for manufacturing.
  • Complete time studies to verify efficiency of manufacturing and identify areas of improvement.
  • Work with operators & supervisors to detect areas for improvement.
  • Provide overall technical direction for manufacturing processes in a manufacturing area as well as direction of cross-functional manufacturing issues.
  • Work with QA to disposition discrepant parts and assemblies, assign causes, and initiate corrective action.
  • Participate as needed in cross functional product design teams, providing product and process design expertise necessary to ensure manufacturability.
  • Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control, and may develop those techniques
  • Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
  • Provide instruction to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
  • Participate in meetings for daily production.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
  • Proficient in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Strong math and computer skills and problem-solving ability
  • Individual must be able to work independently and communicate well verbally.
  • Demonstrated experience sharing information, status, needs, and issues with others to inform, gain input, and support decision-making.
