Full-time Position Title:
Design Engineer McClone Construction Company (MCC) is a privately owned business that is proudly carrying forward a 50-year legacy of family-style culture and values. We are seeking a motivated and detail oriented Full-Time Design Engineer to join our team. This position is an excellent career opportunity for the right individual who desires to make an impact in a privately held company, who continues to grow. The Design Engineer will be involved with the planning, coordination, and execution of concrete-related aspects of construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and timely delivery of concrete work while adhering to budget constraints. The following are general responsibilities for the position:
Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with little direction
  • Proactive planning and organizational skills
  • Professional appearance with good interpersonal and effective communication skills
  • Experience with creating concrete shop drawings using Revit
  • Experience with reading construction drawings
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project
  • Ability to work well with others and assimilate in a team environment
  • Experienced with successfully training/mentoring
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • FE / EI certification with the ability to obtain PE within 3 years
  • Ability to speak Spanish would be a bonus, but is not required
  • 0 to 6 years of applicable experience related to concrete construction industry
Responsibilities:
Engineer and design concrete formwork Perform design calculations Develop formwork fabrication drawings Produce concrete outline drawings Assist in quality control/assurance of installed work during construction Lead projects from planning to execution and closeout Create and manage RFIs, submittals, and drawing changes Conduct regular jobsite visits to inspect installed work Other duties as assigned

Compensation and Benefits Include:
Salary Range
  • ($70,000
