Job Description:
Position Overview We're seeking a highly skilled SMT Programming Engineer to lead the programming, optimization, and performance of our surface mount technology (SMT) assembly lines. This role plays a critical part in bridging engineering design and production execution, with a strong focus on maximizing throughput, efficiency, and quality. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in high-speed PCBA assembly, with a strong emphasis on the Fuji platform, and will serve as the subject matter expert for SMT programming and process optimization.
Qualifications Qualifications Required:
5+ years of hands-on SMT programming experience in a high-mix or high-volume manufacturing environment Minimum 3+ years of experience programming Fuji SMT platforms (NXT, AIMEX, etc.) Advanced proficiency with Fuji NEXIM software Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, BOMs, and CAD/Gerber files In-depth knowledge of SMT processes, IPC standards, and manufacturing best practices
Preferred:
Experience with AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and SPI (Solder Paste Inspection) integration Background supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) environments Experience mentoring junior programmers or operators
