Job Description

Reporting directly to the Profit Center General Manager, you will spearhead product improvements, cost reduction initiatives, and develop new products. This position will sit onsite full-time in Berlin, CT. What you will be doing Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes Develop quality plans for products Develop and implement corrective action based on root cause analysis Develop lean manufacturing procedures, reduce product lead time, promote visual factory environment Plan, commission and maintain machine and assembly production lines Lead quality improvement efforts through training, communication and implementation of new processes Manage equipment purchase and installation Prepare manufacturing documentation Coordinate projects Work closely with internal and external customers, as well as vendors to resolve issues and provide technical support Key member of Product Design Team, working with Design Engineers to develop and introduce new products Establish and maintain cellular layouts Lead and direct meetings with other team members and hourly associates What we are looking for Manufacturing Engineer with 3-5 year's experience preferred. Will consider recent graduates with solid intern experience. BS in Mechanical Engineering and/or Manufacturing or equivalent Lean manufacturing practices ( Kanban, Poke-Yoke, JIT, Value Stream Mapping) Experience with Assembly Operations, Metal Machining processes and tool design Ability to think progressively and creatively while keeping the future of the company and its employees in mind Excellent teamwork and collaboration capabilities Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Strong Communication skills (written and public speaking) What we Offer!
