Manufacturing Engineer

Core Responsibilities:

Create 3D models of the assembly and all components in NX and or SolidWorks. Create operation sheets / work instructions from 3D model in NX and or SolidWorks. Oversee NX standards and configuration. Create routing / BOM / item cards in ERP system. Create milestones / project plans and make sure engineering tasks stay on track. Follow parts through shop to make sure there are no issues. Interact with shop personnel when developing processes. Support tool design as needed. Provide support to customers / vendors on any engineering related items. Participate in root cause analysis and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

5+ years in the aerospace industry or general manufacturing. Proficient in the use of NX CAD solid modeling software, working knowledge of Solidworks is desirable. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret blueprints, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers. A strong background in manufacturing and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is required. Experience with Titanium, Stainless Steel and Inconel materials is a plus. Familiarity with industry inspection methods such as FPI, MPI, and X-ray. General knowledge of welding methods is desirable. Prior experience as a machinist is a plus. Comfortable with a manufacturing environment interacting with machinist on the shop floor. Excellent communication skills are needed; both verbal and written. Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline required.
