U.S. Citizenship required (ITAR) About the Role Cyient is seeking an experienced Design Engineer with deep Pratt & Whitney exposure to support engine structural repair and inspection activities . This role is heavily focused on repair definition, engineering markups, and technical documentation in support of gas turbine engine hardware. This is not a conceptual or new product design role. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working directly with P&W repair processes, engineering drawings, and structural substantiation , and is comfortable operating in a highly regulated aerospace environment. What You'll Be Doing Create, modify, and interpret complex 3D solid models to support engine repair and structural analysis activities Develop inspection, repair, and rework markups , including detailed engineering comments, sketches, and graphics Support the creation and revision of repair engineering documentation , including technical instructions and requirements Review and apply Pratt & Whitney technical data , repair manuals, and engineering standards Collaborate with structures, analysis, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve repair and inspection findings Ensure all work complies with ITAR, EAR, and internal aerospace engineering standards Participate in root-cause investigations , corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives related to engine hardware Required Experience & Qualifications Direct experience supporting Pratt & Whitney programs is required Strong background in engine structural repairs, inspections, or substantiation Proven ability to read and interpret repair requirements, blueprints, and engineering specifications Solid working knowledge of GD&T and aerospace drawing standards Experience developing clear, technically accurate engineering documentation Strong understanding of gas turbine engine operating principles Comfortable working within standard operating procedures, RCCA, and mistake-proofing environments Proficient with MS Office and engineering documentation tools 8+ years of relevant aerospace engineering experience U.S. Citizen (ITAR/EAR compliance required) Nice to Have (Strongly Preferred) Prior experience in engine MRO, repair engineering, or fleet support environments Familiarity with P&W repair approval processes and workflows Experience supporting structural analysis teams through repair definition
