Department:
Aerospace & Defense (Customer Innovation & PMO Support) Position Summary Mott Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Engineering / Operations Intern to support our Aerospace & Defense (A&D) business. This role will support both our Customer Innovation team and Project Management team, providing hands‑on exposure to advanced manufacturing, testing, documentation, and project execution in a regulated A&D environment. The intern will contribute to real customer programs and internal projects while working closely with engineers, project managers, and operations personnel Key Responsibilities Supporting engineering and project documentation, including compliance matrices, standard work instructions, & process documentation Assisting the Customer Innovation team with: Basic design work for tooling and fixturing ATP and product testing (examples: impact flush, liquid flow, & proof testing) Laser marking of parts and components per defined requirements Assisting with and implementing improvements to the Work Orders for Development project Supporting the Project Management team with: Generating and maintaining project schedules Tracking open action items and following up with stakeholders Assisting with procurement activities, including placing Purchase Orders Providing on‑site manufacturing and operations support, including aiding with packaging and preparation of parts for shipment Required Qualifications Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Willingness to work hands‑on in a manufacturing and testing environment Preferred Qualifications Interest in Aerospace & Defense applications or regulated industries Familiarity with CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) Exposure to project scheduling concepts (MS Project or similar) Experience with 3D printing, lab testing, or manufacturing environments Are you ready to join a different kind of company where our people, our culture, and our commitments are centered around providing trusted solutions that improve lives around the world?
