Job Description:
Overview We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to support a high-volume, precision metal manufacturing environment within the medical device industry. This role combines hands-on process engineering with strategic involvement in costing and quoting activities. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Engineering (70%) Drive process improvements in high-volume production environments Lead new product introductions (NPI) Develop tooling, fixtures, and optimized manufacturing processes Analyze and resolve production issues using structured problem-solving methods Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve quality, efficiency, and cost Costing and Quoting (30%) Review engineering drawings, including GD&T Identify manufacturing methods and key cost drivers Develop cost estimates for new business opportunities Partner with cross-functional teams to support new program launches Required Qualifications 7+ years of manufacturing engineering experience Experience in high-volume production environments Strong understanding of cycle times, scrap rates, and cost drivers Experience supporting process improvement and NPI initiatives Preferred Qualifications Experience with progressive stamping Background in CNC machining or metal manufacturing processes Exposure to costing and quoting processes Additional Information 100% onsite role in Durham, CT Fast-paced and collaborative manufacturing environment Opportunity to influence both production performance and business growth
