As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Principal Engineer to join our Engineering team and help shape the next generation of transformer design at Sunbelt Solomon. Phasor Engineering Services (a Sunbelt Solomon company) is growing, and we're looking for an Electrical Power Design Engineer who's excited to solve complex problems, collaborate across disciplines, and help shape the future of electrical infrastructure across the Northeast. What You'll Do You'll play a key role in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient power systems for industrial, institutional, and commercial clients.
Your work will include:
Power system analysis
  • Perform short circuit studies, coordination studies, and arc flash hazard analyses for new and existing systems using SKM or ETAP (low and medium voltage). Construction documentation
  • Develop drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and MS Office for electrical infrastructure upgrades and additions. System assessments
  • Evaluate existing power distribution systems and provide recommendations for improvements or expansion. Client collaboration
  • Engage with clients to understand project needs and deliver clear, professional engineering solutions. Project management
  • Support construction-phase activities, track timelines, and ensure tasks are completed on schedule. Cross-discipline teamwork
  • Work closely with mechanical, structural, and other engineering teams to deliver coordinated project outcomes.
We know great engineers come from many backgrounds. If you meet most of the qualifications below, we encourage you to apply. BSEE or equivalent engineering degree. Experience in electrical engineering, ideally with exposure to power systems. Familiarity with AutoCAD; experience with SKM or ETAP is a plus. Working knowledge of the NEC is helpful but not required. Ability to produce clear technical documents and engineering reports. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. CT Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, but not required.
