Job Description

Hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer in New Britain! Job Description Work primarily from the office while frequently engaging with the manufacturing floor. Collaborate with CNC programmers, setup technicians, machine operators, and the manufacturing supervisor. Support fixture design, tooling, machining processes, and troubleshooting. Review aerospace blueprints from customers and support machining execution. Troubleshoot scrap or out-of-tolerance parts and improve processes. Balance competing priorities in a fast-moving, small-company environment. Responsibilities Collaborate with CNC programmers, setup technicians, machine operators, and manufacturing supervisor. Support fixture design, tooling, machining processes, and troubleshooting. Review and execute machining of aerospace blueprints from customers. Troubleshoot scrap or out-of-tolerance parts and propose process improvements. Work closely with the engineering team as a key resource. Manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment. Machining Experience Strong hands-on shop background Additional Skills & Qualifications CAD/CAM proficiency PartMaker (plus) Aerospace Component Design CMM Program Precision machining with tight tolerances to ±0.001 Aerospace material experience, Inconel and Titanium preferred Work Environment Work in a small, family-owned CNC machine shop with approximately 40 employees. Ownership is deeply involved in day-to-day operations, offering a high visibility role with direct impact on operations. The position offers an 8-hour day shift from Monday to Friday. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of New Britain, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
