About the
Role:
As a Design Engineer I, you will play a critical role in the development and enhancement of engineering products and systems by applying fundamental design principles and technical knowledge. You will be responsible for creating detailed design documentation, performing calculations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet project requirements and industry standards. This position involves supporting senior engineers in prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting to refine product functionality and reliability. You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing design processes and suggesting innovative solutions to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness. Ultimately, your work will directly impact the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions that meet customer needs and regulatory compliance within the United States market.Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools.
Basic understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Internship or co-op experience in an engineering design environment.Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, ANSI, or ISO.Experience with simulation tools like FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics).Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation using CAD software.Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to translate conceptual designs into manufacturable products.
Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate design integrity and compliance with standards.
Assist in prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve design issues.
Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Communicate effectively with suppliers, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure design feasibility and production readiness.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies relevant to design engineering.
