The Process Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to a defined process area and product line with our manufacturing facilities in Newark, Delaware. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement activities in product quality, safety, reliability, and Operational Excellence to meet our business objectives. Responsibilities + Oversee day-to-day operations and KPI's, ensuring the process is running in control, product flow is unconstrained, and product quality is above target. + Immediately responds to unplanned events (quality, reliability, safety, etc.) and drives root cause analysis and corrective action closure. + Drives implementation of process improvements in product quality, safety, reliability, and productivity. + Understands all applicable process technology, equipment, and control technology. + Responsible for the application of Process Safety Management in designed process areas. + Participates in advanced troubleshooting and coaches others to learn these skills. + Implements best practices in operations in order to optimize operations. Works with other support functions as needed to effectively operate plant. + Initiates changes to Plant Operating procedures to ensure they are valid and up to date. + Works closely with Operators to support each other and generate Continuous Improvement ideas. + Support capital project work as needed, including design reviews and commissioning planning and execution. Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field is required. + Strong drive and ability to work with team members of all backgrounds to achieve results quickly + Ability to prioritize and complete assigned work independently and within teams. + 3+ years of production engineering experience is preferred. + Previous experience with Lean Six Sigma or a certification is a plus. + Previous experience with Statistical Process Control ( SPC ) technology is a plus. + Previous experience leading Root Cause Failure Analysis ( RFCA ) is a plus. + Excellent communication, analysis, troubleshooting and organizational skills.
