Job Description:
Our client is seeking a hands-on Lead Manufacturing Engineer to support the launch of a new precision machining and forming production cell. This role will lead processes from concept through full-scale production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and successful program delivery.
Responsibilities:
Lead manufacturing strategy and process development for new product launches Design and optimize production processes, cycle times, and work instructions Define and implement capital equipment, working closely with suppliers on build, validation, and installation Support hands-on engineering including CNC programming, tooling, and troubleshooting Drive equipment ramp-up, PPAP, and transition to high-volume production Establish standard work, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with operations, quality, and leadership to meet timing and cost targets
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in machining environments Experience with bearing manufacturing or related components required Strong background in CNC programming, tooling, and process development Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T; NX experience preferred Hands-on problem solver with strong analytical and project management skills Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
