The role focuses on continuous improvement of production lines, process design and documentation, defect reduction, and supporting new product introductionsparticularly in automotive and industrial applications. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and optimize production processes and layouts to improve throughput, quality and safety. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and variation. Perform PFMEA, root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of quality issues. Support new product introductions by developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, and validation plans. Create and maintain technical drawings, tooling specifications and process documentation using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, quality, supply chain, maintenance) to resolve production issues and implement improvements. Monitor key production metrics, run-time and capacity; identify bottlenecks and recommend capacity changes or automation where appropriate. Provide training and technical guidance to production staff and operators on new processes and continuous improvement practices. Manage and qualify suppliers and outsourced manufacturing processes when required. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and internal quality standards in all manufacturing activities. Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive or industrial sectors. Proven experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher preferred). Strong experience with production lines, process design and new product introduction (NPI). Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for part, fixture and tooling design. Experience conducting PFMEA, Gage R&R, root cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventive actions. Solid mechanical and industrial engineering fundamentals and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and floor staff. Ability to analyze data and use it to drive decisions; familiarity with manufacturing metrics and SPC is desirable. Detail-oriented, organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
