Work in a collaborative team environment on a wide range of building projects in diverse industries including healthcare, higher education, multi-family, hospitality, commercial and renovation projects.
Duties :
Analysis of slab deflection, schematic design of columns placement, punching shear analysis and load transfer for the typical slabs. Review of construction documents, such as columns reinforcement, shear walls reinforcement, slab reinforcement, foundation reinforcement, elevator system and concrete mix designs shop drawings. Estimate various schematic designs of the structures like columns, footings, and shear wall placing. Production of official and unofficial sketches that were issued to the client in order to modify portions of the structure after submitting structural package. Production of sections, details and specifications; using Revit software. Assist site inspections such as concrete pours, formwork placement, foundation layout, slab and column reinforcement placement. Attend coordination meetings weekly with the project manager and architect. Production of sections, details, and specifications utilizing Revit software. Assist senior engineers with engineering tasks as part of overall responsibility to larger projects.
Qualifications :
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field and 1 year of experience: in Structural Engineering with emphasis on building structures; working with: building codes; construction specifications; seismic design methodologies, such as lateral force-resisting, gravity, or foundation system design; and structural design codes and standards including IBC, AISC, and ACI; and with Revit and/or AutoCad in a similar structural engineering environment.
