  • Depend of Experience Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Professional Engineer (PE) for our Orlando office as both Senior Design Engineer and assist with estimating and proposals.
This is a high-impact role ideal for a hands-on engineer who thrives on technical excellence while building a profitable branch. You will oversee and complete designs, estimating, drafting, proposals and project delivery activities. Key Responsibilities Technical / Design Lead design of retaining walls (soil nail, tieback, sheet pile, soldier pile, secant/tangent), MSE walls, temporary shoring, deep foundations, micro piles, traditional deep foundations, and ground improvement systems. Perform geotechnical analyses, structural design, stability calculations, seismic design, and value engineering. Prepare and seal engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications. Coordinate with thirdparty geotechnical engineers, owners, and contractors during design and construction phases. Provide constructionphase support, RFI responses, and field troubleshooting. Grow revenue, control costs, and hit profitability targets. Mentor, and help develop a team of engineers, drafters/CAD technicians, and estimators. Review and approve bids, pursue new opportunities, maintain bidder lists. Qualifications Required Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering. Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license in good standing. 5+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical, foundation, grouting, or retaining wall design/construction. Proven expertise with MSE walls, shored excavations, FDOT specifications, and design software (e.g., Shoring Suite, DeepExcavation, DeepFDN, MSEW, ReSSA, Slide, LPILE, GROUP, AutoCAD, etc.). Strong business acumen with experience in estimating, bidding, and client development. Preferred Experience in a contractor/designbuild environment Existing relationships with FDOT constructors, Central Florida developers, design engineering firms, or general contractors.
