Job Description:
Role Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineer supports daily plant operations by improving process capability, equipment reliability, and manufacturing efficiency. This is a hands-on role with significant engagement on the shop floor, focused on driving improvements in safety, people, quality, delivery, and cost (SPQDC). The ideal candidate will support automation initiatives, troubleshoot manufacturing challenges, and implement standardized processes that enhance operational stability and productivity.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support to production lines to ensure safe, stable, and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work instructions, process documentation, and PFMEA.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for downtime, scrap, bottlenecks, and quality issues.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, line balancing, and waste reduction activities.
  • Support automation projects involving robotics, sensors, PLCs, and vision systems.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Assist with tooling, fixtures, process optimization, and layout improvements.
  • Support TPM initiatives and analyze downtime trends for corrective actions.
  • Maintain CAD drawings, SOPs, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Train operators and technicians on process and equipment changes.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
  • 2-5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment, tooling, automation, and process optimization.
  • Hands-on mindset with strong collaboration skills across production, maintenance, and quality teams.
  • Experience with
TPM, CMMS
systems, or reliability engineering.
  • Exposure to robotics, PLCs, vision systems, or digital factory technologies.
  • Experience in discrete manufacturing, metals, assembly, or building products industries.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent training.
