WE ARE HIRING ASAP!
Insight Global is looking for an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer to sit in north St. Petersburg, FL, to support the manufacturing processes of energy/power system & switchgear manufacturing. This a temporary 3-month long W2 contract (with intension for possible extensions as needed), and offering health, dental, and vision enrollment from day one!
Job Summary:
The Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer will focus on translating hands-on findings into standardized work instructions and process documentation that can be leveraged across production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and document switchgear assembly through teardown activities Create and standardize work instructions and process documentation Convert findings into repeatable manufacturing processes Conduct time studies and process mapping to improve workflow Support continuous improvement initiatives across production
Minimum Requirements:
Committed to a 3-month long W2 contract (with intension for possible extensions as needed) Comfortable commuting to work onsite in north St. Peterburg, FL (will be working 40/hour per week) Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering field 3+ years of experience as an industrial/manufacturing engineer, in a manufacturing or factory environment Experience with large-form or complex assembly Experience with power systems, switchgear, or similar electrical equipment is desired (but not required) Background in lean manufacturing / continuous improvement is desired Familiarity with systems like SAP or MES is a plus Proven experience creating work instructions and process documentation Strong understanding of industrial engineering fundamentals (process mapping, time studies, workflow design) Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Visio, AutoCAD, etc.
