Job Description

Job Overview Responsible for moderate to advanced controls programming system designs, modifications, specification, simulation, testing, and start-up of company robotic gantry systems in support of the engineering, manufacturing and service team of Robogistics. Perform duties primarily in industry standard programs in PLC logic languages specified in IEC 61131-3, primarily utilizing Allen Bradley/Rockwell or Siemens PLC and PC, where applicable. Apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to develop equipment design plans/prints, prepare wiring diagrams, circuit board assembly diagrams and layout drawings. Work with Robogistics team in supporting the designing building, installing and repairing Robogistics and customer gantry and associated automation, such as articulated robotic arms and end-of-arm-tools, within various material handling systems. Design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC control systems for complex manufacturing equipment and gantry type robotic automation. Program, commission, and maintain robotics applications, including robot programming, HMI and vision inspection systems to ensure precise quality control. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and AutoCAD electrical and Solidworks machanical drawings to support system installation, upgrades, and maintenance activities. Conduct root cause analysis on system failures or inefficiencies to implement effective corrective actions that minimize downtime. Collaborate with mechanical engineers to develop tooling, machining processes, and mechanical integrations that enhance automation capabilities. Utilize AutoCAD electrical for designing mechanical components or modifications needed for automation projects. Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve productivity. Provide technical guidance on CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance in regulated environments while ensuring safety standards are met during system design and operation. Requirements Proven experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), especially in manufacturing settings; familiarity with distributed control systems is essential. Strong knowledge of robotics programming, along with experience integrating vision inspection systems. Hands-on experience with troubleshooting complex automation systems through root cause analysis techniques. Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies to drive process improvements efficiently. Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical control panels effectively.

Pay:
$64,871.02 - $100,000.00 per year
