We are looking for a skilled Siemens Opcenter SME with strong expertise in
SIMATIC IT
4.0 and latest Opcenter platforms to drive MES discovery, code analysis, and modernization initiatives. The role demands hands-on capability in understanding existing system setups, identifying customizations, and enabling upgrade/migration strategies, leveraging AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot) for improved efficiency. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform discovery assessments to understand current MES setup (C-setup), architecture, and integrations
  • Analyze
SIMATIC IT 4.0
/ Opcenter systems and identify customizations vs standard features
  • Conduct code-level analysis to evaluate technical debt and optimization opportunities
  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot) for: o Code analysis and documentation o Accelerating system understanding and insights
  • Recommend and drive upgrade/migration strategy to latest Opcenter versions
  • Provide best practices to minimize customizations and align with product standards
  • Support solution design, enhancements, and performance tuning
  • Perform impact analysis for upgrades, fixes, and enhancements Required Skills
  • Strong experience in
SIMATIC IT
v4.0 and Siemens Opcenter (latest versions)
  • Hands-on expertise in code review and customization assessment
  • Technical proficiency in: o .NET / C# o SQL Server / Databases o MES-ERP integrations (SAP preferred)
  • Experience in MES upgrades, migrations, and modernization programs
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) Domain Expertise (Preferred)
  • Discrete Manufacturing (must-have)
  • Industrial Products domain experience: o HVAC / Refrigeration / Equipment Manufacturing (preferred) Key Attributes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in leading discovery workshops and technical assessments
  • Ability to drive solutioning and stakeholder discussions
Qualification:
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
