Salary:
$90,000 A growing, high-precision manufacturing organization is seeking a hands-on Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join its Orlando-based team. This role is ideal for someone who has progressed from a Machinist or CNC Programmer background and brings recent, hands-on Mastercam experience into an engineering environment. This position plays a key role in supporting the fabrication and production of precision electronic components and frequency control devices , while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Maintain and improve manufacturing processes including welding/joining, soldering, and lead forming Utilize engineering tools and statistical methods to optimize process performance Apply Lean manufacturing principles to improve material flow and reduce cost of goods sold (COGS) Collaborate cross-functionally on new product designs to ensure compliance with customer specifications, materials, and finishes Recommend and support mechanical design methods across machining, plating, and assembly processes Manage and support new component introduction for both electronic and mechanical components Develop and maintain production-level documentation, procedures, and work instructions Create and interpret simulation models in SolidWorks to analyze structural, thermal, and dynamic behavior Specify, justify, and support procurement of manufacturing tools and capital equipment Lead product and process improvement initiatives Partner closely with engineering, operations, and production teams in a highly hands-on environment Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience Recent, hands-on Mastercam experience (REQUIRED) Strong background in CNC machining (mills, lathes, EDM, etc.) Prior experience working up from Machinist or CNC Programmer highly preferred Proficiency with SolidWorks Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing, process improvement, and statistical tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience Experience with electroplating processes (nickel, silver, etc.) Familiarity with AutoCAD, Minitab, and ERP systems Experience with hand-assembled and soldered components Exposure to high-precision or regulated manufacturing environments Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder Must be eligible to work with ITAR-controlled data and capable of obtaining/maintaining security clearance Why This Opportunity?
