Role:
The Continuous Improvement Coordinator plays a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and product quality within the durable goods manufacturing sector. This position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and implementing process improvements that drive cost reduction, increase productivity, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The role requires collaboration across multiple departments to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. By leveraging data-driven methodologies and lean manufacturing principles, the coordinator will contribute to sustainable business growth and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this position aims to optimize manufacturing processes to deliver superior products while maintaining safety and environmental standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in continuous improvement or process optimization within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Strong analytical skills with experience using data analysis tools and software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) or Lean Manufacturing. Experience working in durable goods manufacturing or a similar industry. Familiarity with ERP systems and process mapping software. Project management experience with a track record of leading successful improvement initiatives. Advanced skills in statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques.
Responsibilities:
Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean, Six Sigma, and other quality management tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and quality assurance to drive process enhancements. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of improvement projects and adjust strategies accordingly. Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote continuous improvement methodologies among staff. Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate progress and results to management. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations throughout improvement activities.
