Must be a local candidate Position Summary We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, and semi-automated systems within a regulated manufacturing environment. This individual will play a key role in equipment reliability, process optimization, troubleshooting, validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Maintain and continuously improve established manufacturing processes, tooling, and semi-automated systems. Own equipment performance, reliability, and long-term sustainability. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using structured root cause analysis methodologies. Drive equipment and process improvements, including error-proofing and uptime optimization. Execute validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and maintain associated technical documentation. Ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, and internal quality system requirements. Support CAPA activities, nonconformance investigations, and audit readiness initiatives. Provide real-time production support and lead continuous improvement efforts. Train and mentor technicians and operators on equipment, processes, and best practices. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a regulated manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, mechanical systems, and tooling. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and understanding of controls fundamentals. Experience supporting or owning semi-automated manufacturing equipment. Demonstrated problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities. Preferred Qualifications Medical device manufacturing experience. Experience with validation protocols and activities (IQ/OQ/PQ). Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory compliance requirements. Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience. Exposure to manufacturing systems such as MES and SAP. Familiarity with automated equipment and controls.
