This role is responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to support the design and construction of power-related systems. The Engineer Sr. will support estimate preparation, develop design solutions, prepare construction specifications, and provide oversight and quality assurance reviews for contractors developing construction packages and cost estimates. Roles & Responsibilities Create and maintain a safe work environment by prioritizing safety in all activities Support planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance processes for power-related systems Understand and collaborate with various internal departments involved in engineering, construction, and maintenance activities Apply engineering design practices and work processes to project execution Utilize engineering software applications used in design and construction activities Understand and apply industry standards and engineering design criteria Support development and enhancement of system design standards and criteria Assist construction and maintenance teams during daily operational activities Prepare project material estimates and support project planning efforts Develop and transmit construction packages along with supporting specifications Provide oversight and quality assurance reviews for contractor-developed designs and construction solutions Build effective working relationships with plant staff, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors Make independent engineering decisions based on procedures, standards, and project requirements Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline 10+ years of engineering experience in power systems or related industries Advanced engineering and technical knowledge Strong work ethic and positive attitude Advanced discipline software and design application expertise Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills Ability to analyze complex engineering challenges and provide effective solutions
